Chicago, Ill.— Tripp Lite's AVR550U and AVR750U line-interactive uninterruptible power supplies (UPSes)include the company's automatic voltage regulation (AVR) technology at budget-conscious price points. "More basic UPS systems expose connected systems to brownouts and overvoltages unless they discharge their battery," stated David Slotten, director of Product Management. "In contrast, Tripp Lite's AVR UPS Systems continuously ensure that connected systems receive computer-grade power without using battery power." The AVR technology maintains a nominal 120-volt output under brownout (voltages as low as 83) or overvoltage (as high as 147 V) conditions.
The mini-desktop AVR550U (550 VA) and AVR750U (750 VA) feature eight and twelve outlets, respectively, to protect the computer system. Other features include single line phone/DSL surge protection, a USB communication port, and PowerAlert Software (available free via web download) for unattended system shutdown and automatic file saving in the event of a power outage.
Both models include a 2-year product warranty and $100,000 Ultimate Lifetime Insurance coverage against surge damage, including direct lightning strikes for life.
