Cleveland, Ohio Laird Technologies Thermal Products (formerly known as Thermagon) has developed its newest high-performance silicone-based thermal grease to solve overheating issues in advanced computer chips, graphic processing units and ASICs.
The new T-grease 880 is said to offer high thermal conductivity and very low thermal resistance, and to help improve the functionality and processing speed of the industry's most advanced notebook computers, desktop PCs, and servers as well as automotive and telecommunications products. In addition, the RoHS-compliant product is priced 30 to 50 percent lower than comparable options, said the company.
A key feature of the T-grease 880 is that it will not dry out, pump out or separate over the long term, said the company. In addition, the viscosity and consistency of the new thermal grease are ideal for applications where automatic dispensing, screen-printing or stenciling is required. Click here for a datasheet.
T-grease 880 is available in one-half, one-, and three-kilogram containers or custom packaged in multiple syringe sizes for automated applications or single-use squeeze packs. It's priced for large volume applications at less than $200/Kg.
