San Diego, Calif. Rohm Electronics' latest CMOS low dropout regulator (LDO) is said to feature an output current of 150 milliamps and high output voltage accuracy (±1 percent).
Furthermore, the VCSP60N1 LDO regulator, which is part of Rohm's BHxxRB1WGUT series, offers a low drop out voltage of 100 millivolts (at I/O=100 mA), and low power consumption of 34 microamps and 0 uA, during operation and standby, respectively (utilizing Bi-CMOS processes).
High electrostatic discharge (ESD) resistance (5 kilovolts) combined with built-in overcurrent and thermal protection circuits ensure a high degree of reliability in any environment, according to Rohm.
Rohm's LDO regulator series is offered in an ultra-compact 4-pin CSP package possessing high heat radiation characteristics (540 milliwatts), the company said.
The VCSP60N1 LDO regulators are available in different output voltages (1.5 volts, 1.8 V, 2.5 V, 2.8 V, 2.9 V, 3.0 V, 3.1 V and 3.3 V), making them practical for use in a variety of portable applications.
Other characteristics include a 63 dB ripple rejection rate and compatibility with ceramic capacitors.
Pricing for the VCSP60N1 series LDO regulators is 20 cents each (minimum purchase of 3,000 pieces) with 12 week lead time ARO. Click here for the VCSP60N1 data sheet.
