Leigh, UK Plus Opto has announced a range of high power LED’s designed for lighting applications. The high intensity BL3A3W can achieve 150 lumens at 350 mA drive current and is constructed in a robust 8-pin package with integral heatsink for efficient thermal management. The pin out allows each LED chip to be driven separately enabling users the flexibility to configure to specific application requirements. Devices are available in warm white 2800 to 3800 K or cool white 5000 to 8000 K with 120° or 60° directivity. LED’s may also be supplied pre-mounted as modules for ease of assembly and connection. David Patterson, known for his pioneering research that led to RAID, clusters and more, is part of a team at UC Berkeley that recently made its RISC-V processor architecture an open source hardware offering.
