Sidney, N.Y. Amphenol Industrial Operations has introduced a series of push-pull aluminum shell connectors that allow for quick mating and unmating of the connector. The Amphe-PPM series provides signal and power interconnects in medical instrumentation and process control applications.
Available in a variety of configurations, the Amphe-PPM non-sealed connectors are offered in 12-mm or 16-mm housings with two to 12 contacts in diameters of 1.0 mm to 2.5 mm. The connectors also offer a choice of a rubber boot or cable clamp rear accessories. The sealed versions are available in 10-mm, 12-mm, 16-mm and 18-mm housings. They come with two to 14 contacts in diameters of 0.8 mm to 2.5 mm.
The shells of both non-sealed and sealed connectors are available with a non-reflective nickel finish. The non-sealed connectors are also offered with a black epoxy finish. Both types are available in three styles: box mount receptacle, jam nut receptacle and straight plug. The pin contacts are brass and socket contacts are copper alloy.
The connectors are designed to IEC 61984 with a flammability rating of UL94V-0 and meet IP-55 to IP-67 sealing. The operating temperature range is -40°C (-40°F) to 100°C (212°F).
