ANAHEIM, CAAvago Technologies introduced the HFBR-7934Z, a four-channel parallel optic transceiver module that operates at 3.125 Gbits/s per channel for an aggregate bandwidth of 12.5 Gbits/s and a link distance up to 350 meters.
The HFBR-7934Z parallel optic transceiver module complies with RoHS 6 (Restriction of Hazardous Substances, EU Directive 2002/95/EC), and it is optimized for EMI (electromagnetic interference) performance.
Compliant with the POP4 (Pluggable Optics four-channel) multi-source agreement, the HFBR-7934Z combines an 850 nm VCSEL with custom laser-driver integrated circuitry. The module provides four transmit channels and four receive channels in a single, pluggable transceiver package. The modules can provide interconnects up to 150 meters on 500 MHz.km fiber, and 350 meters on 2000 MHz.km fiber. The transceiver receptacle uses the MTP/MPO ribbon fiber connector interface, and the electrical connection is made via the pluggable 10 x 10 Meg-Array connector system.
