Coueron, France, Haydon Motion Europe has added lead screw assemblies to its line of linear motion products. Providing improved axial system stiffness, the lead screw assemblies include a variety of acme lead screws, advanced coatings and anti-backlash nuts.
The lead screws are available in .1875 to .375-inch diameters. Manufactured with Haydon's proprietary precision rolling process and tight lead accuracy, the acme lead screws are manufactured from 303 stainless steel. The lead screws are also available with the company's unique Black Ice (PTFE) coating, which eliminates the flaking that commonly occurs with other PTFE coatings, according to the company.
The anti-backlash nuts are suitable for applications that require precise positioning and no backlash between the lead screw and nut interface. The nuts are manufactured from a proprietary self-lubricating polyacetal that when combined with the company's precision rolled stainless steel lead screws, provides low drag torque and smooth operation, said the company.
In addition, when supplied from the factory with Haydon's standard lubricant these nuts are designed to operate for the life of the application without re-lubrication. They can also be operated without lubrication when used with Haydon's Black Ice coated screws. Three anti-backlash styles along with a low-profile freewheeling design are available.
Available in a variety of diameters and leads, the nuts are offered with a thread mount and are easily customizable with a variety of standard or special flange configurations.
Pricing for the lead screw assemblies range from $10 to $50.
