Fremont, Calif. Antec Inc. has upgraded its Solutions Series line with high-efficiency, advanced cooling enclosures. Each of the five cases NSK 6500, NSK 4400, NSK 3300, NSK 2400 and NSK 1300 are designed for a wide range of computing requirements.
Building on Antec's original Solution series, the New Solutions Series cases are designed for applications ranging from multimedia centers to corporate environments. All cases feature two front-mounted USB ports and audio in/out for easy multimedia connections. The NSK 6500 and NSK 3300 also have one FireWire port.
All cases come equipped with universal input power supply units (PSU) with active power factor correction (PFC) for environmentally-friendly computing. PSU wattage varies by case from 300 W for the NSK 1300 and NSK 3300, 380 W for the NSK 2400 and NSK 4400, and 430 W for the NSK 6500. All cases except the NSK 1300 are designed to be TAC compliant.
Here's a quick rundown of features. The NSK 6500 offers seven expansion slots and nine drive bays four front accessible 5.25-in. and five internal 3.5-in. removable hard drive trays with silicone grommets in a removable HDD cage to isolate vibrations and quieter operation. The NSK 4400 features seven expansion slots and eight drive bays three front accessible 5.25-in., two front accessible 3.5-in. and three internal 3.5-in. with rubber grommets.
Both NSK 6500 and NSK 4400 cases have an advanced cooling system, and come equipped with one rear 120-mm TriCool three-speed adjustable fan and one Advanced Chassis Air Guide with a mount for an optional 80-mm fan. The NSK 6500 also provides two front mounts for optional 92-mm fans, while the NSK 4400 has one front mount for an optional 80-mm fan. These cases accommodate standard ATX motherboards.
The NSK 3300 has a dual-chamber design to ensure the case stays cool by separating the power supply's heat and noise from the rest of the system. It also incorporates one rear 120-mm TriCool three-speed adjustable fan and two front mounts for optional 92-mm fans. It has four expansion slots and three front accessible drive bays (one 3.5-in. and two 5.25-in. with removable HDD brackets), and one internal 3.5-in. drive bay with silicone grommets to minimize vibration and noise.
For a quieter system, the NSK 2400 features a unique triple-chamber structure designed to isolate heat and noise produced by the power supply and hard drives. It has two side 120-mm TriCool three-speed adjustable fans, and four expansion slots and four drive bays (two front accessible 5.25-in. and two internal 3.5-in. removable HDD trays with silicone grommets). Both the NSK 2400 and NSK 3300 cases support MicroATX motherboards.
The cubic design of the NSK 1300 consists of three-layer side panels to dampen system generated noise. It features a built-in 120-mm quiet fan for cooling and a flip-up drive cage. The case offers four expansion slots and four drive bays (one 5.25-in. external and up to three 3.5-in. HDD). The case supports MicroATX motherboards and features blue LEDs on both sides of the front panel to indicate the power is on.
The New Solution Series is available for an estimated street price ranging from $89.95 to $119.95.
