Pittsford, New YorkNeed turnkey RF transmission and reception for audio or video? Then check out these diminutive modules from supplier Saelig Co. The company’s modules can let you send and receive audio and video (A/V) on the popular 2.4-GHz Industrial-Scientific-Medical (ISM) band.
Compact and shielded, Saelig’s AWM630 modules integrate audio/video input and output into one component with no external circuitry required. Made in Taiwan by Airwave, Saelig's modules are FCC-compliant and R&TTE-compliant, making them suitable for worldwide use.
The operating frequency range is between 2.4-GHz to 2.483-GHz. A stable 4-channel phase-locked loop (PLL) synthesizer is used for frequency selection.
Easy RF Implementation
In use, these wireless modules provide a simple, convenient, and economical means to transmit audio and video signals between equipment. As such, they should find application in industrial, security, and entertainment deviceseven in toys and robots. You can use them for domestic or professional sound or video transmission in the home, office, or factory.
AWM630 A/V RF modules can transmit and receive wideband audio or video signals over a range up to 100-meters. RF output power can be up to 10-mW (10-dBm at 50-ohms), as compliant with European regulations.
The AWM630 modules are suitable for both North American NTSC and European PAL video formats, eliminating the need for separate modules for OEM products going into different markets.
Video input is the standard 1-V (pk-to-pk) signal (into 75-ohms). Audio input level is 3-V (pk-pk).
Four selectable channels for video or stereo audio are available.
Small Size Saves Real Estate
AWM630 transmitter modules measure 30.6 x 28.6 x 3.7-mm (1.224 x 1.144 x 0.148-inches). The mating receiver modules measure 40.64 x 30.68 x 6.00-mm (1.625 x 1.23 x 0.24-inches). Operable from 5-V, current demand is 55-mA and 140-mA, respectively. Operating temperature is -10degreesC to +60degC.
Saelig says its AWM630 modules are available now from stock, with two weeks delivery. Get 'em for $15.50 a pop.
