North Hykeham, UK: VxI Power has introduced a 130 W AC-DC switch-mode power supply that operates in conjunction with a single backup battery to provide a robust and reliable source of power for mission-critical industrial applications. Available in both 12 V and 24 V versions, the Oracle III-130 features link-selectable input voltage ranges of 90 to 132 V or 180 to 264 V and is equipped with one main output, one temperature-compensated battery-charger output and two auxiliary outputs. In the event of a mains failure, the backup battery supplies power to the load via an internal diode, thereby ensuring that the output is maintained without interruption. The Oracle III-130 is a convection-cooled unit that can deliver 130 W continuously at the maximum permissible ambient temperature of 55 °C. Temperature compensation of the battery charger circuit extends all the way down to the minimum operating temperature of 25 °C. Built-in protection circuitry guards against short-circuit overloads and overvoltages, while an undervoltage lockout facility prevents damage to the battery when it is fully discharged. -----The Oracle III-130 incorporates volt-free relays and LEDs for monitoring system status, and these can be factory-configured to meet the user’s specific requirements. In addition, the power supply is available with an optional battery-test facility. Manufactured using Pb-free components, the Oracle III-130 is RoHS compliant and meets the requirements of the EN60950 safety standard as well as the EN6100-6-4 and EN6100-6-2 standards for EMI emissions and immunity in heavy industrial environments.VxI Power Ltd, North Hykeham, UK. www.vxipower.com
