Phoenix, Ariz.7#151; Further expanding its high-performance ECLinPS MAX family of clock and data management products, ON Semiconductor introduced the NB6L11S and NB6N14S fully differential interface ICs.
The devices are designed for precise clock management of telecommunications, networking, high-end computing, and automated test equipment (ATE) applications.
Both devices combine ON Semiconductor's bipolar capability with an LVDS-compatible output structure. As a result, the devices can interface directly with LVDS devices without sacrificing performance, according to the company. They also employ the company's AnyLevel input structure, which is said to provide seamless interfacing with LVPECL, CML, LVCMOS, LVTTL, or LVDS signals.
The NB6L11S is a differential 1:2 clock or data translator and distribution device, with a maximum input clock frequency of greater than 2-GHz, and jitter of 500 fs typical. The device operates at Vcc of 2.5-V, and is packaged in a Pb-free QFN-16.
