San Diego, Calif.—Lambda's LZSa500-3, for rugged applications, touts a unique feature set and safety-agency approvals not commonly found on a standard off-the-shelf supply. The AC/DC supply, delivering 500 watts at a nominal 24 volts, has a wide operating temperature range, compliance with MIL-STD-810 standards for shock and vibration, and can operate in explosive gas atmospheres for chemical processing and COTS environments.
The universal-input supply, with active power-factor-correction, is adjustable from 18 to 29.4 volts to accommodate non-standard system voltage applications, and can provide a full load of 21-amps output current from -40C to +60°C, derated linearly to 60% load at 71°C ambient.
Features include output ripple and noise of 75 millivolts peak-to-peak, and 20-microsecond hold-up and ride-through time to avoid nuisance tripping during electrical interruptions. It complies with SEMI F47 standards for input droop, down to 100 VAC at full load.
The LZSa500-3 is equipped with remote on/off, remote resistance or voltage programming, user-adjustable over-voltage protection, DC good, inverter fail, current-share, and a 200 kHz synchronization signal.
The unit, in a 4.25-by-4.75-by-10.25-inch package, meets MIL-STD-810E shock and vibration standards (method 516.4 proc. I, II, IV and VI; method 514.4, categories 1 and 9. It also meets Class B EMI standards (radiated and conducted) and is safety-approved to UL60950-1, EN60950-1, UL508, FM3600, FM3611 and FM3810 specifications. It meets IEEE C62.41 (6kV/30 Ohm, criteria A) and EN61000-4-X immunity standards. All units are RoHS-compliant and carry the CE mark.
