SoftRISC's echo canceller software eliminates the need for separate DSP or AEC chips on CPUs, helping to significantly reduce cost and power consumption.
The software, which is written for specific CPUs, is being used to provide Voice over WiFi (VoWiFi) capabilities on future Symbol Technologies' mobile computers.
With SoftRISC's CPU-based technology, voice and multimedia solutions can be designed with quality equal to that of DSP-based solutions. SoftRISC will also provide Symbol with solutions critical for deploying enhanced VoWiFi, including ITU compliant Speech Codec along with integrated Acoustic Echo Canceller and Automatic Gain Control.
