SAN FRANCISCO Startup EDA vendor and design services provider MataiTech LLC has packaged OpenCores intellectual property (IP) with the company's fourth-generation EDA tool, Nauet 1.5, the company said.
The OpenCores IP available with the tool include OpenRisc 1200, Wishbone bus, DMA, 10/100 MAC, HDLC, memory controller, USB Host/Slave, I2C, and others, according to MataiTech (Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.).
Nauet automatically links IP blocks, generates Verilog, VHDL, C, SystemC, design documentation and test code, according to MataiTech. Designs created with Nauet Component Editor are reusable as IP in later projects, the company said, while Nauet Design Assembler is used to link multiple IP blocks into a single, larger design. The tool is said to be compatible with major EDA tools.
"The addition of this IP will dramatically reduce our customers' time to market," said Rob Fleck, principal product line manager at MataiTech, in a statement. "Vast portions of the development cycle are now automated, reducing the time for some tasks from weeks to minutes."
The Nauet Basic Version has an introductory price of less than $1,000 per license, MataiTech said.
