Taunton, Mass.—For tight, demanding layouts, Astrodyne's ASL 10/15 series of ultraminiature open-frame switching supplies delivers up to 15 watts at 3.3 to 24 volts for regulated board applications. The universal AC/DC supplies are also available in a medically-approved version (ASM series).
The supplies, available in 10 models, feature a typical line regulation of better than 1 percent, load regulation of ±3 percent, and ripple and noise of 100 mV p-p (typical). They include an input filter, power-good LED indicator, output-adjust potentiometer, and short-circuit protection. These supplies, with single-sided construction for added reliability, are rated for full output over 0 to +50°C without forced cooling. They're fully approved to EN60950/UL1950 safety specs. All models use Molex style I/O connnections.
