Palo Alto, Calif.Test-and-measurement house Agilent Technologies Inc. announces an updated version of its PCI Express electrical performance validation and compliance software that lets you test devices to ensure compliance with the PCIe 1.1 and PCIe 2.0 electrical specs for add-in cards and motherboards. The software runs on Agilent's 54855A Infiniium oscilloscopes and 80000 Series oscilloscopes.
Dubbed N5393A PCI Express electrical performance validation and compliance software, Agilent's product provides a way to verify and debug PCI Express designs. The PCIe electrical test software lets you automatically execute PCI Express electrical checklist tests, displaying results in a flexible HTML report format.
In addition to the measurement data, the report provides a margin analysis that shows how closely a device passed or failed each test.
The N5393A software includes an option to use the clock recovery method employed in the official PCI-SIG Signal Quality Test Methodology, or SigTest application. It ensures that test results are consistent with results from that application. The PCI-SIG will officially test using the PCI Express 1.1 standard at a compliance workshop in Taipei, Taiwan.
Price And Availability
Current Agilent N5393A software owners can upgrade to the new version at no cost. The price for the N5393A software is $3000.
