LISBON, Portugal Chipidea has introduced its next-generation USB 2.0 IP designed specifically for ultra low-power applications.
Chipidea's USB 2.0 IP features battery-management functions for low-power operation during high-speed data transfers. Chipidea said it designed its next-generation product for small die area to help chip designers get to market with the lowest cost.
The Chipidea USB 2.0 IP also includes charge detection and audio functions that enable key features for SoC designers in the consumer electronics market. It also provides designers with a wide selection of microprocessor interfaces.
With immediate availability in 90-, 80- and 65-nm process technologies, Chipidea's USB IP delivers a broad range of options for ASIC, ASSP and SoC designs.
