South Portland, Maine—Fairchild Semiconductor says its FHP3194 is the industry's first 1.2 GHz 4:1 analog multiplexer. Boasting an 800 MHz small-signal and 500 MHz large-signal (-3dB) bandwidth, the FHP3194 touts approximately 25 percent higher bandwidth than competing devices.
Thus it's the industry's only multiplexer, according to the company, with a bandwidth capable of exceeding the high-resolution requirements for high-definition (HD), 1080p and 1080i, and PC graphic video signals. With 0.1 dB gain flatness to 90 MHz at 2 volts p-p, it also ensures predictable performance in high-frequency designs.
Additional features include high slew rate (2,200 volts/microsecond) for optimal pulse response; disable/shutdown options; single 5-volt supply capability for power savings; and high output current (±75 mA) for driving dual-video loads.
