Sunnyvale, Calif.—Rated for operation at +125°C ambient, Supertex' AT9933 is a variable frequency pulse width modulated (PWM) controller suited for automotive LED lighting applications.

The AT9933 features a PWM-dimming input for brightness control that can accept an external digital control signal with a duty cycle of 0-100 percent. The boost-buck IC includes hysteretic current control to regulate both the input and output currents, thus providing high immunity to input surges without the need for complex loop compensation and external components. Input and output current control also provides inherent protection against short circuit and input under-voltage conditions.
