Mt. Olive, N.J. American Sensor Technologies, Inc. (AST) introduces a line of media isolated submersible pressure sensors that are designed for use in intrinsically safe areas when used with an approved entity barrier. Constructed of stainless steel, Model AST4500 and AST4510 sensors are designed to survive in harsh environments and operate over a wide temperature range.
Model AST4500 and AST 4510 sensors are approved to UL/cUL 913 (CSA) Class 1 Div 1, Groups C and D, and each sensor holds a CE Approval of EN 61326. Both the AST4500 and AST4510 are suitable for a variety of submersible and level measurement applications including: ground water level depth measurement, well water monitoring, earthen and concrete dams, liquid level tanks, gasoline and diesel fuel tanks, irrigation, salt water holding tanks and waste water canals.
Each sensor can be submerged in liquids that are compatible with 304 SS, 316L SS and Hytrel cable, which are available in various lengths to meet current industry demands. Both models offer a weighted front-end nose cone and contain no internal O-rings. Each sensor is equipped with 100 V/m of EMI/RFI protection from electrical noise.
Both models operate over a wide temperature range of -20° to 85°C (4° to 185°F) and offer pressure ranges up to 100 PSI. The AST4500 series provides pressure ranges from 0-20 to 0-100 PSIG with an 0.88-inch diameter, while the AST4510 series offers pressure ranges of 0-5, 0-7.5, 0-10 and 0-15 PSIG, and are offered with a one-inch diameter. Output options include: 1 to 5 V, and 4 to 20 mA. Click the link for information about the AST4500 series.
