Andover, Mass.—Vicor's 28-VDC MIL-COTS VIPAC family of power systems is a new class of user-defined, modular power solutions for military applications, including radar, ground vehicle, communications, and aerospace equipment.
"The 28-volt VIPAC gives our MIL-COTS customers the design flexibility to create a power supply on-line using Vicor's VCAD design tool that meets their specific needs, including stringent EMI and transient protection specifications," said Kai Johnstad, product marketing manager for Defense Products.
The system can be specified with 1, 2, or 3 outputs, which can provide from 3.3 VDC to 48 VDC and from 50 to 400 watts per output. The package includes the company's M-FIAM5B, which provides MIL-STD-461E EMI filtering and MIL-STD-704E/F transient protection; a choice of Maxi, Mini, or Micro DC/DC H or M grade converters; and a choice of output connections and mechanical platforms.
