Aurora, Ill. Connor-Winfield has released its STC4130, an integrated single chip solution for the synchronous equipment timing source (SETS) in SDH and SONET network elements.
Designed for SDH, SSU and SONET Stratum 3, 4E, 4 and SMC applications, the STC4130 chip accepts 12 clock reference inputs and generates eight independent synchronized output clocks including support for SONET, T1, E1, DS3, E3, and Frame Sync. Reference input frequencies are automatically detected, and inputs are individually monitored for quality. Reference switches are hitless and the synchronized outputs may be programmed for a wide variety of SONET and SDH frequencies. The chip supports manual or automatic reference selection.
The STC4130 is fully compliant with ITU-T G.812 Type III, G.813, and Telcordia GR1244 and GR253. It requires only the appropriate external reference clock to meet these standards. The device provides better than 0.1 ppb hold over accuracy. It supports master/slave operation with the company's SyncLink cross-couple data link for master/slave redundant applications.
Pricing for the STC4130 starts at $49.00 each.
