Hilden, Germany Segger Microcontroller Systems' small footprint real time operating system called embOS now supports the ARM RealView Microcontroller Development Kit (MDK). This gives the two companies' common customers with a complete solution.
The RealView MDK, which features the ARM RealView compilation tools and the Keil uVision 3 IDE, provides a complete development environment for users of standard MCU devices based on the ARM7, ARM9 and ARM Cortex-M3 families of processors.
embOS supports all common architectures from various semiconductors and tool chains. embOS offers the benefits of a fully featured multitasking system by 100% identical API. Its small memory footprint makes it also suitable for single-chip applications. embOS provides at no additional costs a viewer that allows looking into the system from the PC (including profiling). The OS is available in object and source code form and comes as single developer license with no project limitations. embOS is royalty-free and comes with 6 months of technical support and free updates.
