TokyoOki Electric Industry Co. Ltd. has launched the ML22P80X series of OTP (one-time programmable) memory-equipped voice synthesis LSI, consisting of three devices that enable designers to write voice data directly to the chip using the ML22808 Parawriter voice-data writing tool.
The 2-Mbit (ML22P802) the 4-Mbit (ML22P804) and 8-Mbit (ML22P808) products are fully compatible with the ML2280X Series, Oki's P2ROM-equipped voice LSIs. For more on the ML2280X series, go to www.oki.com/en/press/2006/z06094e-1.html.
The ML22P80X series integrates OTP memory, analog and voice synthesis on a single chip. By employing OTP memory to record voice data, designers can develop and test the product while writing the voice data onto the chip. Once the data is fixed, customers can write five ICs simultaneously using the ML22808 Parawriter. According to Oki, customers can develop products in small but varying lots, easily yielding sample products.
