Austin, TexasThe 56F8013M DSC from Freescale Semiconductor provides the key features and memory of the company's previous 56F8013 device but also has been tested at 125oC for use in high-temperature applications. Both devices are designed to reduce component count by eliminating the need for separate digital signal processors (DSPs) and microcontrollers (MCU).
The 56F8011 and 56F8013M DSCs are available in a 32-pin low-profile quad flat pack (LQFP) package with flash memory sizes ranging from 12 to 16 Kbytes. The devices feature shared peripherals and a common set of development tools to speed development. Other features include a 32-MHz/32-MIPS 56F800E core, 3.0 to 3.6-V operation, 2 to 4 Kbytes of program/data RAM, flash security and a software programmable phase lock loop.
Pricing for the 56F8013M DSC is $4.39 in 10-K quantities. Click here for a datasheet
