Malvern, Pa. Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. has released a family of 20-W thickfilm power resistors housed in an easy-to-mount TO-263 package (D2PAK).
The D2TO20 resistors are designed for a variety of applications including power supply, current sensing, power conversion, high-speed switching, radio frequency, pulse generation, load resistor, snubber, pulse-handling circuit, and amplifier applications in end products including industrial welding machines, test equipment, UPS, locomotive, and base station systems.
Available in a broad range of resistance values from 0.010 ohm (Ω) to 550 kΩ, the non-inductive D2TO20 thickfilm resistors measure 10.1 x 10.4 x 4.5 mm.
Thermal resistance for the D2TO20 devices at 20 W and +25°C is 6.5°C/W junction-to-case. The resistors feature a standard temperature coefficient of ±150 ppm/°C at resistance values of ≥0.5 , with standard tolerances of ±1% to ±10%.
Connections for the thickfilm resistors are tinned copper, and they are specified for operation over a 55°C to 155°C temperature range. The devices are RoHS compliant, and support soldering temperatures at 260°C.
Pricing: For U.S. delivery in minimum order quantities is $2.70 per piece, and $1.90 per piece in high-volume orders.
Availability: Samples and production quantities are available now with lead times of eight weeks for larger orders.
