Seattle, Wash. Novatech Instruments released its model DDS9m signal generator module, which features four phase synchronous sine wave outputs up to 170 MHz, serial control, 500 MHz external clock input along with an on-board TCXO (temperature compensated crystal oscillator), stable to 1.5ppm.
Measuring less than 83 x 90 mm, the DDS9m has 32-bits of frequency resolution, 10-bits of amplitude resolution, and 14-bits of phase resolution on each of the four channels. The module can be integrated into test stations and other applications requiring multiple and frequency agile outputs. When used with the external clock input, all DDS9m units can be synchronized to a system-wide frequency standard.
For ATE applications, the DDS9m can store up to 32,000 profile points consisting of phase, frequency, dwell time, and amplitude settings. The profile can then be sequenced automatically without further control from the host computer.
