Tokyo, JapanOki Electric Industry Co. Ltd. is sampling a pair of ROSA (Receiver Optical Sub Assembly) optical receiver modules.
The modules are tailored for XMD-MSA (10-Gbits/s Miniature Device Multi Source Agreement) applications that comply with XFP (small form factor pluggable) 10-Gbits/s optical transceivers used to establish high-speed LANs and MANs.
OKI developed the ROSA-type optical receiver modules, part numbers 10G-PIN-ROSA (OD8643R) and 10G-APD-ROSA (OF3643R) due to the expanding volume of data transmission over the Internet, which is prompting demand for optical receivers and transmitters that comply with XFP compliant.
The OD8643R features a minimum light sensitivity of -20dBm and transimpedance is 1.4K (differential). The OF3643R offers a minimum light sensitivity of -27dBm and transimpedance is 1.4K (differential).
