(RMI) released the MC4100 series of advanced mezzanine cards (AMC) suited for Gigabit line-rate, content-aware networking applications requiring deep packet inspection and manipulation. Architected to target IP networking, VoIP, wireless LAN (WLAN), 3G wireless, broadband, storage, router, switch, security, and telecommunication applications, the MC4100 family addresses the need to scale an OEM's software and hardware investment.
The MC4104 is an entry-level configuration targeted at 4 Gbits/s applications and offers a processor choice, based on the XLR 500 Series, a pin-compatible solution, comprised of the XLR532, the XLR516 or the XLR508 processor. The solution offers a total of 4 GigE ports via either front-plate or connector plus 1 Gb of DDR2 memory and 128 MB Flash memory. The MC4104 is a single-wide, extended-height form factor AMC Card that is compliant with PICMG AMC.0 with IPMI 1.5 and AMC.1 Type 4/AMC.2 Type E2.
