Westlake Village, Calif. Diodes Incorporated has launched a series of low threshold voltage MOSFETs for low-voltage applications typically found in portable and handheld devices. The DMN5L06xxK MOSFET series can be driven directly from low-voltage logic-level outputs without requiring charge pumps.
The DMN5L06xxK series is available in a variety of industry standard surface-mount package options including single- and dual-array configurations. The series encompasses ten part numbers in eight surface-mount package types and include integrated gate-source electrostatic (ESD) protection up to 2 kV, ensuring ease of handling and soldering onto the printed-circuit-board (PCB).
The single device, part number DMN2005LP4K, in the DFN1006H4-3 package requires only 0.6-mm2 of PCB area, while the dual array, part number DMN2005DLP4K, in the DFN1310H4-6 package requires only 1.3-mm2 of PCB area. Combined with a low-profile package height of 0.4 mm, the DFN package is suitable for space constrained, consumer electronic devices such as mobile phones and portable media players. The devices may also be used in a broad range of other applications including notebook and desktop computers, set-top boxes, broadband cable and xDSL modems, LCD monitors, and GPS navigation systems.
