Corpus Christi, Tex. TT electronics IRC Advanced Film Division has introduced the CHC-Precision series of precision resistor networks in a ceramic ball-grid-array (BGA) package that features all circuits on the bottom side of the device to eliminate wrap-around terminations.
By offering the CHC-Precision series in a single-sided monolithic design, it eliminates parasitic effects due to wrap-around terminations, said IRC. In addition, the high-precision resistors can be washed under the components to eliminate detrimental shunting effects of uncleaned assembly process residues, added the company.
The CHC-Precision BGA series resistor networks are available in 8- and 16-pad packages. The BGA features a resistance range from 10 ohms (Ω) to 100 KΩ, with a maximum working voltage of 50 V. The device features temperature coefficient resistance (TCR) tracking to ±5ppm/°C, ratio tolerances to ±0.05%, absolute tolerances to ±0.1%, and absolute TCRs to ±25 ppm/°C. The operating temperature range is -55°C to 150°C. Custom specifications are available.
The precision networks are suitable for industrial applications, process control and monitoring, medical equipment, instrumentation and metering.
