PARIS – French Electronic System Level (ESL) company CoFluent Design announced it would demonstrate version 2.1 of CoFluent Studio, a functional and architectural design tool, at the Design Automation Conference early June in San Diego, California.
CoFluent Design (Nantes, France) claims CoFluent Studio enables decision making at the earliest stage of a project thanks to its higher level of abstraction.
Architectural development using CoFluent Studio is executed at the “message passing” level of abstraction following a “Y” design flow that maintains distinct views of the application and the platform, to later merge them through a unique mapping operation. It automatically generates Transactional Level Modeling (TLM) SystemC models, which can be used as test benches to validate cycle-accurate implementation micro-architectures.
With the new architecture exploration facility integrated into the v2.1 version, the EDA startup asserted that users can select a variation range for a design parameter of their choice, run simulation batches for each value of the parameter and obtain analysis results displayed in the same chart. Users can also, and in one single view, get a visual comparison of the same system under different architecting scenarios, CoFluent added.
Finally, the company highlighted that the impact of a parameter change in a design can be “easily analyzed and understood” so the optimal value can be chosen.
