The PicPort-Express products offered by Leutron Vision comprise a range of frame grabbers for PCI-Express Bus applications. The fast PC-Bus architecture provides outstanding image-capturing capabilities for tasks involving high data transfer rates so that the Camera-Link broadband capacity to be exploited to the full.
The PicPort®-Express-CL frame grabber can be connected to area and line-scan cameras using the Camera-Link interface.. Depending on the model chosen, one or two cameras can be operated independently of each other, in either the Base or the Medium mode, on one board. The frame grabbers are compatible with cameras of all kinds of configuration (e.g. 8 taps x 8 bit or 1 channel with 36 Bit RGB) up to a size of 64K x 64K and an acquisition rate of 85 MHz. An on-board memory of up to128 MB, a Lookup-Table with up to 4 MB and numerous TTL, LVDS and opto-decoupled inputs and outputs are all important functional elements of the image acquisition cards.. The FPGAs include functions for on-board pre-processing such as Bayer decoding for colour cameras or shading correction for line-scan cameras. Leutron Vision also offers to integrate specific customer functions. As optional alternatives, PicPort Camera Link Frame Grabbers are also offered for use with 32/64-bit PCI- and PCI-X Bus, and also as PMC-module for use with 32/64-bit PCI- and PCI-X Bus.
Leutron Vision AG, with headquarters in Glattbrugg (Switzerland), is one of the leading providers of industrial image acquisition systems.
