Powersolve has made significant additions to its wide-ranging AC/DC power supply offering with the launch of a series of ultra compact units ideally suited for those applications where space is at a premium. According to Powersolve’s Managing Director, Peter Clark, they “have a very small footprint for the level of power available”.
The JB250 Series are 1U high, 250W units featuring a power density of 10.4W/in3 and can be supplied from stock in open U-channel format or enclosed with an optional fan cover.
All models in the JB250 Series feature an auto-selectable AC input ranging from 90 to 264V and are available as either single output (2 to 60V) units, or with dual output combinations based on 3.3, 5,12, 24 and 48V outputs. Up to 600W peak power is possible within a 500µs duty duration. Operating temperature range is 0 to 70ºC with no derating.
Powersolve’s designers have incorporated a number of safety features as standard including protection against over voltage, over temperature and short circuit. Remote on-off is available and a 12VDC, 300mA output is available to drive an external fan
Dimensions for the open model are 1.5 x 3.2 x 5in. The fan cover adds just 0.5in to the height.
The units feature power factor correction in compliance with EN61000-3-2 and are fully approved to UL, CUL, TUV, CSA and CE standards.About Powersolve
