Montreal, Canada Microbridge Technologies, Inc. has expanded its Rejustor family with low power, low temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR) re-adjustable resistors that are designed to compensate and calibrate precision analog circuits.
Key features of the Rejustor re-adjustable resistors include high-temperature operation to 125°C or higher, high-frequency operation in excess of 2 GHz, and adjustable precision levels of 0.1% or better. The devices do not require power to operate in circuit, and exhibit no wiper resistance. The new Rejustors can be used with National Instruments' off-the-shelf hardware (NI-cDAQ 9172) to calibrate a wide range of circuits in parallel.
The Rejustors may be used in a variety of applications including precision analog compensation in military, aerospace and satellite applications. Automotive applications range from optical systems to engine sensors and tire pressure monitoring.
The sealed Rejustor is also suitable for operation in harsh and demanding environments. Industrial applications range from simple calibration of power supplies to calibration of sensors including photo transistors, pressure sensors and magnetic proximity sensors. Consumer applications include LCD screen adjustments and timing devices.
In medical and science applications the calibration techniques are suitable for use in catheter applications. For semiconductors, the CMOS-based technology enables integration of Rejustor calibration and compensation devices for designs that require better precision than fuses, digital potentiometers or laser trimming can achieve, said Microbridge.
Microbridge will demonstrate how to calibrate Rejustors in high-volume applications at the Sensors Expo & Conference, Rosemont, Ill., June 11-13, in booth #726.
Pricing: All low power Rejustors are priced at $0.99 at 1,000 piece quantities. Each QFN package contains two Rejustor elements (R1, R2) making it easier to implement divider networks where the TC of the two resistors must be equally matched.
