Boxborough, Mass. SynQor has expanded its eighth-brick DC/DC converter family with a 24-V output device. The PQ60240EGL03 delivers a tightly regulated 24-V output at up to 3 A in the DOSA standard 0.9 x 2.3-inch footprint and pinout. Applications include wireless telecommunications, wireless data transmission equipment and any application where a 24-V rail needs to be generated in a 48-V environment.
Operating over the input voltage range of 35-75 V, the open frame device offers an efficiency of up to 90%. Due to the optimized topology and layout of the device, derating is minimal, even with low levels of forced air cooling, according to the company.
The PQ60240EGL03 is capable of withstanding transients on the input to 100 V for 100 ms, and offers a basic isolation level from input-to-output of 2000 Vdc. Control and protection features include remote sense, a wide output voltage trim range of -20% to +10%, input under-voltage lockout, output OVP, current limit, short circuit protection, and thermal shutdown. The operating temperature range is -40° to +100°C.
