Hopkinton, Mass. Valpey Fisher Corp. has introduced the VFJA400 and VFJA401 integrated clock/PLL timing modules for synchronization in SONET and SDH networks.
The VFJA400 and VFJA401 devices offer the user the ability to select one of four preset input frequencies from 8 KHz to 200 MHz and 200 MHz to 800 MHz, respectively. Both timing modules provide an ultra-low-jitter (0.2 ps RMS from 12 KHz to 20 MHz) synchronized LVPECL output frequency from 10 MHz to 200 MHz. A lock detect indicates when the output signal is frequency locked to the input. Operating with a +3.3-volt power supply, both devices typically consume less than 150 mW.
The VFJA400 and VFJA401 devices exceed the requirements for Telcordia GR-1244-CORE, GR-253-CORE, ITU-T G.813, and G.8261.
