Burlington, OntarioGennum Corp. has added a pair of devices to its wideband, low-noise transimpedance amplifier (TIA) line for next-generation SFP+ optical modules.
The GN1057 is an automatic gain control (AGC) TIA targeting long reach multimode (LRM) applications. The GN1057 can achieve high linearity and total harmonic distortion (THD) without compromising sensitivity levels, according to Gennum.
Technical specifications for the GN1055/1057 include a data rate of 10 to 11.3-Gbits/s; operating voltage range from 2.97 to 3.63V; operating temperature range from -40°C to 125°C; -21dBm sensitivity; +4dBm overload; and power consumption of 145mW.
Pricing: $12 in quantities of 1K.
Availability: Sampling now with volume production expected by January 2008.
