Fullerton, Calif. TT electronics BI Technologies Magnetic Components Division has developed a surface-mount, high-frequency inductor with an advanced metal powder core material that is suitable for high-temperature applications. The HM88 series inductor is said to deliver better efficiency in limited printed-circuit-board (PCB) space than comparable devices.
The HM88 shielded inductor is rated for operation at frequencies of 300 KHz and higher, and offers an operating temperature to +180°C. The construction of the HM88 inductor with a powder alloy core material is said to enable the device to operate at higher frequencies with lower core losses and high saturation levels. Custom specifications are available.
Applications include PCBs in point-of-load (PoL) applications and high-temperature environments including automotive underhood and telecom applications.
Pricing: Approximately $0.75.
Availability: Delivery is eight to 11 weeks.
