Metalink Ltd. has announced that its 802.11n WLANPlus chipset is now commercially available and will be showcased at the CES trade show in Las Vegas from January 7 to 10, 2008.
The chipset and reference designs have been available to selected customers for about six months. Metalink releases dual-band 802.11n reference design.
Metalink's CES demos will feature concurrent transmission of data applications over the 2.4GHz frequency band and delivery of multiple HD video streams over the 5 GHz band, all at wire-line quality and speeds. Metalink will also demonstrate the interoperability of WLANPlus with a variety of networking products by major manufacturers.
Metalink's WLANPlus chipset has already been integrated into system-level products of selected OEMs.
The demos will include a variety of networking and consumer products, including Single-Band routers, Concurrent Dual-Band routers, Concurrent Dual-Band Residential Gateways, Video Bridges, IP Set-top boxes, PVRs and Wireless TVs.
