Mercury Computer Systems' latest VXS module, the VS6-210, features two 2.0-GHz dual-core PWRficient PA6T-1682M processors. The board also offers two 4x serial RapidIO VXS fabric interfaces operating at 2.5 or 3.125 Gbaud, as well as a PCI/PCI-X interface at up to 133 MHz. The VS6-210 targets sensor applications including radar, sonar, communications and imaging.
Mercury reports very low power consumption for the module. For example, the P.A. Semi device dissipates 5-13W during typical operations. The VS6-210 module, system development chassis, and required software will be available starting in July 2008. For more information, visit www.mc.com/dualPASemi.
