Newbury Park, Calif. Micronor Inc. has introduced its ENA361M (hollow shaft) and ESA361M (solid shaft) series of high-resolution analog-output encoders that provide 12-bit resolution with a choice of analog output. These devices are suitable for high-reliability and high-precision industrial automation and process control applications.
The ENA361M and ESA361M units are extremely rugged with high levels of shock (>500g) and vibration (>30g) resistance. These products can be used in outdoor applications over wide temperature ranges and fluctuations of -40° to +85°C. Standard units are IP67 sealed with an IP69K option available for use in high-temperature/high-pressure wash-down applications.
The single-turn absolute encoders are offered with a choice of 4-20 mA or 0-10-V output options. Measuring range options include 45-, 90-, 180- or 360 degrees. These units also operate over a wide input power range of 18-30 Vdc. The 4-20 mA option includes a red LED fault indicator for sensor break detection and monitoring of the power supply.
These compact encoders offer an overall diameter of 36 mm. The ENA361 series offers a blind hollow shaft in the range of 6 mm to 10 mm along with either stator coupling or torque stop mounting options. The ESA361 series offers a solid shaft in a range of 6 mm to 8 mm along with standard synchro flange mounting.
Pricing: $285 to $415 per unit depending on options, in quantities of 100.
