San Jose, Calif. Avago Technologies has introduced a new family of high-speed dual-supply voltage digital CMOS optocouplers. The ACPL-071L, ACPL-074L and ACPL-M75L optocouplers operate at +3.3-V and +5-V supply voltages at a minimum speed of 15 MBd and support the industry's typical widest operating temperature range. These optocouplers are suitable for a variety of industrial and consumer applications such as plasma display panels, power supply and digital field bus isolation.
Operating over a temperature range of -40°C to +105°C, the optocouplers are built to withstand harsh industrial environments. The ACPL-071L/M75L (single channel) and ACPL 074L (dual channel) digital optocouplers integrate a new feature similar to under-voltage lock-out to prevent any output disruption in case of any power supply loss or recovery. The ACPL-M75L also addresses low power consumption needs with a low forward current of 4 mA minimum. All devices are housed in SO-5 and SO-8 packaging.
The ACPL-071L, -074L and M75L are widely approved by international safety standards, such as IEC/EN/DIN EN 60747-5-2, UL1577 and CSA for Reinforced Insulation .
Products from the same family that meet 8-mm creepage/clearance (ACPL-W70L and ACPL-K73L) will be available in the second half of 2008.
Pricing: Starts at $1.56 in quantities of 10,000 for the ACPL-071L. The ACPL-074L is priced at $2.88 and the ACPL-M75L is priced at $1.50, both in quantities of 10,000.
Product information: ACPL-071L, ACPL-074L, ACPL-M75L, and optocouplers
