Worcester, Mass.Targeted at the industrial and consumer markets, Allegro MicroSystems Inc.'s next generation Hall-effect current sensing technology offers improved accuracy over the full operating range.
Allegro's ACS756 is a low noise, open-loop current sensor with a 125-KHz bandwidth capability. The enhanced accuracy and speed make this device suitable for a variety of 50 A to 100 A applications. The ACS756 takes advantage of the low loss leadframe of its "CA" package and the fast response capability of an integrated core.
Allegro's ACS756 also has an internal electrostatic shield that effectively shunts the effects of voltage transient spikes around the silicon and minimizes the voltage ripple on the output of the device. Applications include motor and inverter control, power supply control and protection, and other applications requiring high side current sensing.
