Kennewick, Wash. Bruker AXS has claimed the industry's first handheld X-ray fluorescence (XRF) instrument that uses a Silicon Drift Detector (SDD) for improved speed, sensitivity and resolution.
The TRACERturboSD incorporates Bruker's proprietary XFlash SDD, which was previously available only in high-performance laboratory XRF instruments, to deliver higher performance analysis for applications such as art conservation and archaeology, aerospace and metals markets.
Pricing: $36,500 for the TRACERturboSD with a 10-mm detector.
Availability: Delivery is four to six weeks.
