Amherst, Mass. Amherst Systems Associates Inc. (ASA Corp.) has added a waveform decode functionality to its M1 OT oscilloscope tools software that enables faster and easier decode and debug on Tektronix, Agilent, LeCroy or Yokogawa oscilloscopes. The new decode functionality provides a common decode and debug process independent from specific manufacturers' oscilloscope software.
The M1-OT v5.02 software also includes multi-margin capability for Eye Masks along with other changes. The software offers several unique new views, which includes viewing encoded waveform fields versus time as well as viewing how the range of values distributes in a histogram.
Another useful new exploratory mode occurs when searching for values of a field (e.g. frame starts, data values, addresses, R/W, etc.). Decode search allows the user to search on individual or multiple values, for example, multiple address values for I2C or multiple PID values in a LIN waveform.
The M1 Oscilloscope Tools can provide correlated results because engineers now use an analysis engine that is identical no matter whose scope they are using. Other features include a common data format, a common interface, and a common automation standard.
Pricing: M1-OT uses "scalable pricing". Pricing ranges from $995 to $7995 in five steps. M1-OT v5.02 is a free upgrade for any M1 user with an active software subscription.
