Düsseldorf, Germany—Toshiba Electronics Europe has expanded its family of motion control development platforms with a new evaluation board that speeds implementation of sensorless drives for three-phase brushless DC (BLDC) motors for automotive, industrial, and home appliance applications.
The TB6588FG evaluation board, built around the TB6588FG PWM sensorless driver IC (36-pin HSOP package), is suited to testing and prototyping drives for motion control applications requiring motor bridge voltages ranging from 10 to 42 volts.
It's suited to the development of motor applications with power levels up to 60 watts. The board is designed for working directly with a host processor. It connects directly to the motor under test; no additional hardware components are required.
Pricing: The TB6588FG PWM chip is priced at approximately 2.4 Euros in small quantities. Click here for the device datasheet. The evaluation board is priced at 50 Euros, which includes five chip samples.
