I just received an email from my old chum Tom Dillon, the president of Dillon Engineering telling me that that have just announced the availability of a pipelined Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) processor core called FFT-PIPE that is targeted specifically to Xilinx FPGAs.
This little scamp features:
- Radix-2 FFT lengths
- IEEE 754 Floating Point
- Run-time length selection (32 to 64K)
- 250 MSamples/seconds
- Natural order I/O
- C/C++ and MATLAB bit accurate models
- Netlist and full source versions available
Now, if there are two things the folks at Dillon Engineering know about, it's FFTs and designing with Xilinx FPGAs, so I'd say that this is well worth a "look-see."
