Embedded Systems Conference, Boston, Mass. -- Analog Devices and AxiomFount today announced the availability of the Microsoft .NET Micro Framework on Analog Devices' Blackfin processors. The .NET Micro Framework is a lightweight version of the .NET managed-code application environment used in desktop and server programming. The framework gives developers access to Blackfin's high-performance signal processing capabilities through Microsoft's Visual Studio development tools.
In addition to full integration with Visual Studio, the .NET Micro Framework software development kit (SDK) is equipped with an emulator to simulate targeted hardware capabilities. The framework also enables device developers to connect to a diverse array of peripheral devices through industry-standard communication connections and managed drivers.
Blackfin EZ-KIT Lite evaluation kits supported by AxiDotNet solution can be purchased through Analog Devices. AxiomFount provides both generic solutions as well as solutions with market application focus. A time-limited evaluation version of AxiDotNet solution is available at no cost.
