Sunnyvale, Calif.Maxim Integrated Products' MAX4810/MAX4811/MAX4812 dual, high-voltage digital pulsers provide a guaranteed 1.3A (min) output current. As a result, these devices can be independently configured to enable unipolar or bipolar pulsing in high-voltage systems from low-voltage logic outputs.
Three logic inputs per channel and two independent enable inputs ensure that the output MOSFETs are turned off to speed ramp times and minimize delays between pulsing modes. To improve image quality, these pulsers employ an innovative, active-clamping architecture to reduce the 2nd harmonic output and allow complete control of each driver's output stage. Applications include portable ultrasound imaging and industrial flaw detection, in which board space and performance are critical.
The MAX4810/MAX4811/MAX4812 operate from a single positive supply up to +220V, a single negative supply down to -200V, or dual ±110V supplies. The MAX4810 features clamp-output overvoltage protection, the MAX4811 has pulser- and clamp-output overvoltage protection, and the MAX4812 offers pulsing without overvoltage protection.
Fully specified over the 0°C to +70°C commercial temperature range, each device is available in a small, 7mm x 7mm, 56-pin TQFN package.
Prices start at $6.00 (1000-up, FOB USA).
